Thank you for supporting Wave 98.3’s bid for expanded signal coverage in Vancouver!

In April 2023, Wave 98.3FM, Vancouver’s Coolest Vibe, applied to the CRTC for a licence to broadcast on an additional Vancouver frequency (98.7FM) that could be used to repeat Wave 98.3’s programming and thus expand the signal coverage area for The Wave in the Vancouver market

When the CRTC recently called for comments from members of the public to help it evaluate the appropriateness of Wave 98.3’s application to expand its signal coverage, so many of you answered that call with eloquent comments about the importance of granting increased coverage for the Wave.  You made clear the many ways an additional frequency (98.7) used as a repeater would enhance your lives by allowing you to listen to the Wave where you are presently experiencing difficulty.  Thank you all so much for your incredible response to our request for help.   We truly appreciate your making the effort to register your love for the Wave and your desire to hear it clearly throughout the Lower Mainland.

2. Click “Today’s Releases”
3. Click  “View All Decisions, Notices and Orders
4. Click “2024”
5. Drop down to “Notices of Consultation
6. Click 2024-10  Call for comments
7. At top of page, click “Public Record 1011-NOC 2024-10
8. This is the page for Closed Notices of Consultation.  Go to line 2024-10 and click “Interventions” on far right
