The Landing's Holiday Hamper Program aims to foster festive spirit and bring joy to our youth and their families. Of the youth we serve, 99% identify as BIPOC, 80% live in social housing and 60% come from single-parent or guardian households. Our youth and families often cannot afford to celebrate the holidays. Holiday hampers provide families with the means to cook a holiday meal, purchase gifts, and create lasting memories together.

The Holiday Hamper program began in 2021, and with the help of our generous donors and supporters, it has grown significantly each year. Last year, we were able to distribute 107 hampers, each valued at over $750, to the families experiencing the greatest need in our community. The hampers include a $200 grocery gift card for a festive meal, a $200 gift card to empower parents to choose the gifts their kids dream of, in addition to holiday gifts, warm clothing and food.

This year, with the support of new donors, we aim to match or exceed last year’s impact, spreading warmth, nourishment, and joy to even more families. A donation of $500 sponsors one Holiday Hamper for a local family in need.
