On July 18th, 2022, the team from WAVE 98.3 stood anxiously in the control room at 555 West Georgia. We had just finished weeks of practicing for the launch of a brand new radio station in Vancouver. In the weeks prior, we'd been fine tuning the broadcast signal, installing equipment, putting down new carpet and essentially building Vancouver's Coolest Vibe from scratch.

As much as you try to prepare for every eventuality, you never know what hiccups you might encounter as you prepare push the ON-AIR button. As the clock clicked down to 8:30 AM, July 18th, 2022, morning show host Tara Jean (TJ) sat in the broadcast chair, crossed her fingers, and with some trepidation, pressed PLAY. 
 
It worked!
