WAVE 98.3 presents THE CONCERT FOR PROJECT HOPE 2026 - An evening of music benefiting the ALS Society of BC

On Friday, March 27, 2026, Vancouver’s rich music community joins together for a powerful night of song at the 2026 Concert for Project Hope, an inspiring benefit concert in support of the ALS Society of British Columbia and the Society’s PROJECT HOPE initiative. The event takes place at the historic Christ Church Cathedral (Downtown Vancouver's oldest surviving building) on Burrard Street.

The inspiration behind the concert

Concert for Project Hope was inspired by much loved Vancouver radio personality Julie Brown, (part of the team that launched WAVE 98.3) and performer with the Vancouver swing trio The Hot Mammas. Julie was diagnosed with ALS in April 2024.

In response to her diagnosis, Brown immediately set out to create a concert that would raise funds and awareness for PROJECT HOPE, a program dedicated to advancing ALS research and improving quality of life for those affected.

Julie Brown passed away December 16, 2025, but not before she had gathered forces to put on another celebration of life and music in support of ALS Research.
