1. How old were you when you first started making music?
It was my 6th Birthday when my parents bought me a teeny tiny Casio keyboard, it had little green lights above the notes to tell you which ones to press to play the correct tune. We took it on a family vacation a few months later and I thoroughly annoyed everyone by playing 'Greensleeves' over and over and over and over.......

2. Who was/is your biggest musical inspiration?
The big 3 I like to call them... Jeff Lorber, George Duke and Joe Sample. Grew up on their records and sound, I wouldn't be the musician I am without them.

3. Where do you make your home?
I live 40 miles South West of London, England in a town called Aldershot. It's pretty suburban, some nice rural areas too.

4. Do you have any pets?
Yes! I have an OAP dog named Steve, he is a mutt and is just about to celebrate his 14th Birthday!
Also we have 4 Guinea Pigs who are hilarious and very demanding of snacks!

5. What is the best concert/gig you have ever done?
Hard to pick a winner but being Musical Director of the Annual Dubai Jazz Festival was epic! The stage was huge, and a lovely 6000+ crowd every night. One year I took charge of something like 14 shows which was a steep learning curve, but such a great memory!

6. What is the best concert you have ever attended?
Another tough question! I'm certainly glad to have seen George Duke play here in London a couple of times, and also I was invited to an exclusive night with The Crusaders a couple of decades ago, there were only around 100 of us and we were treated to the full line-up plus the bonus of Ray Parker Jr. and Randy Crawford!

7. Do you have an all-time favourite song or album?
'Ashes to Ashes' - Joe Sample
'Snapshot' - George Duke
'In The Heat of the Night' - Jeff Lorber
and of course 'The Dude' - Quincy Jones

8. What musician would you still most like to work with?
I'm still waiting to write that perfect tune for Dave Koz and I to duet on... it's coming!!

9. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
Well I've been a failed Poker Player, and not-so-great Stock Trader.... but I think I'd probably just like to have bought and run a dog sanctuary!

10. What is your favourite thing about Vancouver?
My LEAST favorite thing is that I've never been there!!!!! Fingers crossed It'll be soon x
