10 Questions for Walle Larson

1. How old were you when you first started playing Sax?
Started on accordion at age 7 eventually moved to flute at age 19 and sax at 20.

2. Who was/is your biggest musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspiration and influences have been Michael Brecker and Jeff Lorber.

3. Where do you make your home?
Banning, California and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

4. Do you have any pets?
No pets cause I live out of a suitcase most of the time.

5. What is the best concert/gig you have ever done?
The most rewarding concerts I've been involved with have been tours of Eastern Europe playing contemporary jazz.

6. What is the best concert you have ever attended?
One of the best concerts I attended was Gato Barbieri in Oakland California in the late 70's

7. Do you have an all-time favourite song or album?
Que Pasa / Gato Barbieri produced by Philip Saisse.

8. What musician would you still most like to work with?
I had the chance to achieve this goal having had the chance to work with Jeff Lorber.

9. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
I'd likely be in ministry.

10. What is your favourite thing about Vancouver?
The scenic beauty and the ocean.
